How do I monitor text messages?

Text message monitoring with BrightCanary works in two parts that pair together:

1. Install the BrightCanary Keyboard
Install the BrightCanary Keyboard on your child's iPhone or iPad. This monitors everything they type and send across all apps, including iMessage.

2. Connect their iCloud account
Connecting your child's iCloud account gives you access to full two-way conversations, media sent and received, and deleted texts. To set this up, you'll need:

• Your child's Apple ID email and password
• Your child's iPhone (or another Apple device where they're signed in)

Then, follow these steps:

• On your device, enter your child's Apple ID
• Approve the sign-in request that appears on their device
• Enter the two-factor authentication code if prompted

New messages may take a few hours to appear initially, then monitoring updates in real time.

Note: If your child uses only an Apple Watch, the BrightCanary Keyboard can't be installed, but iCloud text monitoring still works.
